Researchers have discovered that those individuals who drink coffee are less likely to develop liver cancer, fatty liver disease, fibrosis, and even cirrhosis. It is actually even better for your liver if you drink a lot of coffee. The more coffee you consume, the more your chances of liver disease go down. 2 cups of coffee a day can actually reduce your odds of cirrhosis by 44% and if you have 4 cups a day, it decreased your odds by a whopping 65%!

Additionally, there is evidence to support that those who already suffer from a liver issue can benefit from drinking coffee, as it has shown to slow the progression of most liver diseases. It helps because of the chemicals that are in coffee. As the body digests caffeine, it creates a chemical that can actually slow down the growth of scar tissues that developed with fibrosis. That chemical can even help fight liver cancer.

There are also acids in coffee that can aid against hepatitis B. Research shows that coffee can help both men and women the same and regardless of how the coffee is made, the same benefits are present.
